Matheson Mackenzie Ross Architects is a creative practice that provides a full architecture service from sketch designs through to project completion for both private and commercial clients in the Inverness, Ross Shire, Sutherland and Caithness areas, across the Highlands, and beyond.
Our work ranges from small extensions to multi-million pound residential schemes and hi-tech factories. We have the experience and capability to provide an excellent service, working with our clients towards an ideal solution.
The firm dates back to 1910 and is run from our offices in Dingwall by Neil Ross who has broad experience of new build, conservation and commercial projects who is a member of the R.I.B.A. (Royal Institute of British Architects) and RIAS (Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland). We have found that quality design and a smooth construction process results from good communication with clients, contractors and consultants whilst effectively managing time and cost. We hope to build on our reputation for meeting our client’s requirements and helping them to construct high quality, sustainable buildings with a local identity.
2010 and '11 saw the completion of extensive refurbishment projects with renewable enrgy solutions, working with traditional buildings and giving them a new lease of life.
We can build a 3D computer model of your grand design allowing you to walk through the house and get a real feel for what is proposed before finalising ideas.
As buildings and their construction make a major contribution to the world’s carbon dioxide emissions, we believe it is vital to help make buildings which perform well in energy consumption as well as in function and appearance.
